Virginia Loudoun County's Budget Story is an annual publication which introduces public programs and provides resources for Loudoun residents to learn about the county's budget. Budget Story presents an improvement of County residents' well-being and diversity, reports growth in revenue and expenditure of each office, and features interviews of dedicated faculties and staffs. Loudoun County's Budget and Management department has approached Sagetopia Design Agency in hope to improve their annual report for the fiscal year of 2019.

As a lead designer for the project, I was not only responsible for helping to convey these messages in an effective way but also for developing a design system that will harmoniously connect all pages, each consisting contents for each office.

Cohesive Layout

Consistency was crucial in achieving a unified look throughout the report. I have integrated a uniform, consistent page layout, ensuring that each page effortlessly flows into the next.

Visual Differentiation

While I had to retain visual consistency, I also wanted to distinguish between sections belonging to different county offices, I integrated unique icons and colors that had already been assigned to each office. The different colors and icons help identify different offices and their contents.
